Design of precise bandgap reference in ACMOS process

In this thesis the principle of voltage reference especially bangap reference is described. Below are described two circuits of this type designed in ACMOS process. There is handmade evaluation of error analysis to identify main error contributors and also monte-carlo simulation. Also statistical analysis is made on the circuit. Results of all methods are compared. Error of reference voltage is compared for both circuits. Circuit with bigger error is optimized to achieve a better precision. Obtained results showed a good agreement of all methods, which evidences importance of hand error evaluation.

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of Brokaw type low-voltage BG reference and it’s following optimalization using error analysis to achieve better precision than ±0,5 % with level of accuracy 4 sigma. The main focus of the thesis is the error analysis itself and finding the individual factors that affect precision. Design and optimalization of the voltage reference were made in program Cadence Virtuoso.

Error Analysis of texts written by non-native speakers of Czech

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of language of non-native speakers of the Czech language - specifically students whose first language is Russian. The first part focuses on different approaches to language errors in terms of the theories which deal with the acquisition of the second language. In the second part, written texts of non-native speakers of the Czech language are analyzed by the method of error analysis. Errors are separately analyzed from a grammatical, morphologic, syntactic and lexicological perspective. Then errors are divided into categories and consequently described and interpreted. Interpretation of the errors takes into account the frequency of errors and focuses on intralingual errors and interlingual errors.
Effects of the Teaching Czech as a Second Language

Name of the thesis is "Effects of the Teaching Czech as a Second Language" and in its first part presents theoretical introduction to the field of study, empirical researches of student's productive skills (Czech as a foreign language) follow (speaking, writing). First part is focused on theoretical knowledges of second language acquisition, options and approaches to exploration of language's errors and approach and viewing of errors and mistakes in general, especially in foreign researches and literature. Bigger attention is paid to selected analyzes, those are basic instruments for making of practical part of the thesis. It is especially error analysis (EA) and analysis of fluency and accuracy. Because the thesis's topic is concerned to effects of teaching and affecting factors, there are defined terms of pedagogy and psychology in theoretical part. In practical part there is presented empirical execution of mentioned analyzes, its comparison, evaluation and making conclusions in relation to appointed variables, or rather determinants, which enter the education process. Accuracy and fluency in the speech of the advanced learner of English

The thesis analyses the accuracy and fluency exhibited in the spoken advanced-learner English of Czech students of English philology. It draws its data from a learner corpus comprising fifty 15-minute interviews with these learners and from a parallel native-speaker corpus of forty-nine 15-minute interviews. As regards accuracy, the learner data is analysed using techniques of error analysis. Salient features of advanced learner English are identified and the subsequent quantitative analyses reveal that throughout the entire group of students (which is characterized by what revealed itself to be a wide proficiency span) two groups of error types are found to be much more frequent than any other, namely errors in the use of articles and tenses. For the fluency measurements a small selection of variables has been chosen to describe speed fluency (speech rate) and breakdown fluency (the frequency of unfilled and filled pauses), and the results are compared with those for the parallel native-speaker corpus. The analysed native speakers are found to produce speech at a generally much higher rate than the majority of the learners. Czech of a Non-Native Speaker (Case Study)

The main goal of the thesis is to analyze Czech texts of a non-native speaker who comes from Montenegro. It contains an introduction which deals with the theory of second language acquisition and the role of language transfer in this field. The analysis assesses written texts as well as spoken language considering the influence of language transfer on error-making.
Tagging a spoken learner corpus

The aim of the thesis is to propose a tagging system for a learner corpus of spoken English which would, apart from tagging errors, focus also on the features specific for spoken language. Theoretical part, therefore, introduces basic concepts including learner language, the development of learner corpora in the last 20 years and both classical and computer-aided error analysis. Features typical of spoken language are described in the theoretical part as well since these are the focus of the research part of the thesis. The Louvain tagging system used for error-tagging of a leaner corpus of written language is used as the basis for the tagging system proposed in this thesis. Based on the analysis of 20 transcriptions taken from the Czech part of spoken learner corpus LINDSEI, modifications of the categories taken from the Louvain error-tagging system are proposed and new categories necessary for a better description of spoken language are introduced. The tagging system proposed in this thesis should make further analysis of the tagged corpus easier.
The use of Connectors in the Texts of Non-Native Speakers of Czech

Abstract Over the last few years two learner corpora of authentic texts of non-native speakers of Czech have originated (MERLIN Corpus and CzeSL Corpus), giving linguists an important source of data for researching Czech as a foreign language. Ergo, for the first time it is possible to carry out the language analysis of non-native speakers of Czech using tools of corpus linguistics to formulate evidence-based research findings. The presented thesis uses that as well, focussing on the study and description of the use of connectors in the written text production of non-native speakers of Czech, being primarily based on evidence from the learner MERLIN Corpus, which as opposed to other corpora is characterized by linking written text production reliably to the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), including the levels of A2-B2.
